2023 Window Treatment Trends

With the first days of Spring already upon us, it’s safe to say that 2023 is flying by. Already, the top window treatment trends of the year have begun to emerge, as people make bold choices about the future of their homes. Here are the top trending window treatments of 2023!

Roller Shades

The simplest and most popular window treatment type, roller shades get the job done without all the extra bells and whistles to drive up the price. Their simple design also results in very low maintenance requirements, which is always a plus. These are the ‘it’ blinds of the modern era and should always be considered as an option.

Roman Shades

The decorative upgrade to standard roller shades, roman shades are soft and luxurious statement pieces that are sure to impress. While they are more expensive and more work than roller shades, roman shades are far more affordable and lower maintenance than drapery, which is the main alternative when it comes to soft and decorative window treatments.

Natural Shades

A subtype of roman shades, natural shades are made from sustainable, natural materials that bring a piece of nature’s beauty into your home.

Honeycomb Shades

The most practical of window treatments, honeycomb shades offer excellent insulation, protecting you against excessive heat, cold, light, noise, and more. While people are often divided on the question of their visual appeal – with some finding them to be charming and others considering them to be a bit on the clunky side – nobody can argue that they don’t get the job done.

Window Shutters

The undisputed king of window treatments, shutters are expertly crafted to provide insulation against light, cold, heat, noise, and more. Visually, they are stunning, a testament to the high level of craftsmanship that justifies their high price.

Zebra Shades

Perhaps the number one seller of the year so far, zebra shades continue to impress customers with their blend of modern functionality and whimsical decoration. Their zebra-like pattern is beloved both as a decorative touch and for its ability to create variable levels of privacy and openness depending on your needs. Double zebra shades – zebra shades with blackout roller shades behind them – are all the rage for bedrooms and are only growing in popularity at this point.
