Create shade over your patio or deck with a retractable awning. Explore traditional and cassette designs, fabric finishes and motorized operation, with professional measurement and installation.
An awning projects out to provide overhead shade, while a vertical outdoor shade covers the side of an opening. We help plan the width, projection, mounting height and operating method around your patio, furniture and the building structure.
A familiar fabric-and-arm design that extends when you want shade and retracts when you want a more open view. We help choose the fabric, width and projection to suit the patio and mounting location.
A housing gives the retracted awning a more enclosed finish. The selected system determines which components are protected. Compare the appearance, available space and maintenance requirements with our team.
Open and retract the awning with a compatible motor and remote. Ask about available sensor or automation options; these depend on the chosen system. Plan a suitable power connection before installation.
Share the area you want to shade and approximate patio dimensions. Projection, mounting height and sun direction affect where the shade will fall.
Building & mounting
We need a suitable supporting structure and clearances for the awning to extend and retract. Photos of the wall, soffit or proposed fixing area help us start the assessment.
Fabric & operation
See fabric samples and compare the available finishes and controls. We confirm product details, installation scope and the current schedule during quoting.
We measure, supply and install suitable systems across our service area. Building or strata approvals remain the customer’s responsibility.
Are retractable awnings available with motorized controls?+
Manual and motorized retractable patio awnings provide overhead shade for suitable decks and patios. Compare the projection, fabric, frame and cassette design around the mounting structure and exposure. Use the selected awning within its operating limits and retract it when required by the manufacturer.
Should I choose an awning or an outdoor shade?+
An awning provides overhead shade by extending out from its mounting position. An outdoor roller shade lowers vertically across an opening. The right choice depends on where the sun enters and the area you want to shade.
What is a cassette awning?+
A cassette design encloses the retracted fabric and, depending on the system, the arms within a protective housing. We can compare it with a traditional design and review the space and fixings required.
Can awnings be motorized?+
Yes. We offer motorized awning options. We confirm the selected motor, power supply, remote and any compatible control accessories before ordering.
Can I use a retractable awning in strong wind or heavy rain?+
Retractable awnings must be used within their manufacturer’s wind and weather guidance. They are not permanent roofs or snow-load structures. Retract the awning when required by the product instructions; a sensor does not replace those instructions.
Can you mount an awning on any wall?+
No. The supporting structure, fixing points, clearances and mounting height need an assessment. Share photos of the proposed location and any strata requirements before a site visit.
