Update on Temporarily Unavailable Products

On May 1st, 2022, new Health Canada regulations on chains, cords, and strings eliminated the loose chain as a control mechanism and temporarily blocked many of the most popular window treatments from being sold for residential buildings. Among these products were flat and hobbled roman shades, skylight shades, and ‘top-down, bottom-up’ cellular shades. After only a few short months, the first of our manufacturers has come up with solutions to these problems. The team’s hard work has led to many of these products returning earlier than expected, so they are able to be ordered as of now. The full list of temporarily unavailable products that are now able to be purchased again are: roman shades, ‘top-down, bottom-up’ cellular shades, cellular skylight shades, and ‘better fit’ cellular shades. Faux wood blinds, which were still available on a tilt-only system, are now available in a design that allows them to be raised as well. We’re glad to be able to sell these great products again and apologize to anyone who missed out on their preferred product as a result of this unavoidable disruption.
